PROMISING 'CASES' REBELS reserve Jonas Jeppesen sustained a broken bone in his hand whilst riding for his Danish club on Wednesday night and will spend at least 10 days out of the saddle.

The news was received by co-promoter Garry May who explained "I received a text message from Jonas today telling me that after sustaining a fall in his third ride of Holsted's match against Grindsted, Jonas sought medical advice and it has been confirmed that he has suffered a broken bone in his hand and has been advised to rest it up for at least 10 days."
"With two meetings for the Rebels next week it comes as a big blow to us especially as he has been growing in confidence here in the UK after some good performances. We will now have to look around to try and find suitable replacements for the meetings at Wolverhampton on Monday and th OakTree on Wednesday when we host Swindon."

The injury has taken a little shine off the terrific news from Wednesday when Jason Doyle won the Premiership Riders' Championship with a scintillating display of speedway riding at Poole. Doyle begins the defence of his world crown on Saturday with the opening round of the GP in Warsaw, Poland.
