END OF BRITISH CHAMPIONSHIP TRAIL FOR CHARLES

Friday May 11, 2018
CHARLES WRIGHT's British Championship aspirations have been extinguished after he suffered an uncharacteristically low-scoring night at Sheffield on Thursday.

Wrighty, who had scored a creditable 7 points in Wednesday's Premiership Riders Final at Poole, struggled to just a four point score in his British Semi-final where a top eight finish would have secured him a place in next month's British Final at the National Speedway Stadium.

The Rebels hopes of representation in that final now rest with Richard Lawson who competes in his semi-final at Leicester next Tuesday, just 24 hours after the Rebels visit Wolverhampton in a Premiership league fixture on Monday.
