ALLEN INJURY BLOW FOR REBELS

Thursday August 10, 2017
The ‘Cases’ Somerset Rebels have been hit by the news that their Australian reserve, Jake Allen, has broken two small bones in his wrist, a legacy of his heat 14 fall in last night’s home match against Wolverhampton.

“Luckily, it is not a major break,” said Rebels promoter Debbie Hancock, “and although it is too early to say how long Jake will be side-lined, if the first indications are correct, it could only be for a relatively short period of time.”

“In the meantime, we will have to go with guest replacements for the matches Jake will be missing, and we have secured the services of Belle Vue’s Dan Bewley to ride in place of Jake in Monday’s home match against Leicester.”
